The life of a young woman in a Carousel

Good afternoon to you my readers!  I am closing this month with this article. Here are some fun content that I am bringing you. So I had this photoshoot session with my friend Pierre here in Geneva at Plainpalais. A great place to go to, with carousels and an amusement park. So I « used » him as my photographer. And wanted to use a different scene, more creative for my content.

Long story short, although I have been taking tons of pictures, Pierre taught me more techniques that day. I do fully have a creative eye when it comes to photography but still got to learn the techniques of shooting, because one doesn’t go without the other. The technique can always be learned but the creative side, you either have it or not. In these photos I realize I have such a baby face ! Forever young right? Talking about age well, I would like to mention and need to say it out loud, that I will be turning 30 this upcoming Friday, even though physically I don’t look my age, as I’ve been told many times.

Now describing my style throughout those pictures, I would say it really depends on the days or my current mood and if I have to go to work or to a simple night out. This day was definitely a street urban style to its fullest. It’s super comfortable and would wear that outfit anytime, even during a trip or any other days.

Behind or in the front of the camera?

Hello World! Who am I in front of the camera? Well there is a story behind it. Most of you know that I love taking photographs of others. There’s so much story from every single one of you. But when it comes to me, I am one of the most super camera shy, hard to be comfortable in front of it. Never knew why up until this day but gotta try to put myself more out there (also as some friends have told me). Especially since I have a fashion blog (which mainly should showcase my style). As of next month new directions will be taken with new ideas with more of my style and so on…

Ok so the other story is…well I don’t know if you guys may have noticed but… I KEEP on doing mimics or crop my head on pictures. Well as a teenager we all have complex right? And considering these poses as my signature style portraits at the time, it quickly became a habit and didn’t see anything wrong with it. But someone important in my life mentioned something to me; something really relevant by saying this:  »See how magnificent of a woman you are, the camera needs to see your face ». And thats when I started to be more confortable with myself. As we say,  »Better late than never » !

So here was a little story about me being either a model or a photographer. But why not be both?! You can BE anything you want. Set yourself no limit and follow your path.

Finding a name for your blog

image_6483441.JPG

Hello World, long time no written. First of all I know I am little late but… happy EASTER to y’all! Ok now getting to the serious part, based on the title of this article, I had a few questions from friends of how to choose a name for your blog. Well the answer is not easy, I will have to admit. There is a lot of things to think about; you have to know that later on the name will stick to you, but also on social media platforms. Afterward it will be hard and delicate to change your name. So be sure to pick the right one.

Here are some of my advices for choosing the right name for your blog (wether it’s cooking, travel, photography, fashion or else…)

1. IT HAS TO REFLECT YOUR PERSONNA

First of all think in which direction you would like to head in. Is it going to be on food, lifestyle, cars, photography, fashion…Once your mind is set, think what you like the most in that field. For example if it’s about food focus mixed with something you’re good at/like, for instance veggies then from there think about a name that reflects about veggies but also something related to you, to make it more personal. Don’t hesitate to brainstorm your ideas.

2.NAME GENERATOR SITES

Here are some examples :

http://domainwheel.com/

(Domain wheel. One of my favorite, just by typing a keyword, you have tons of ideas)

(You can click on these links)

3.ONCE YOU FIND THE NAME OF YOUR BLOG, IS IT GOING TO BE …

You have a choice; what type of platform or domain is it going to be. A blogspot.com, which is free and when you just start a blog I would recommend this one. It’s easy to use and you have your practice there. Now if you would like to get more serious you have the option to either go with square space and for this domain you can get a  ».com »,  ».net » and so on. It’s only 20$ / year. Might as well invest in it, if you would like to become more serious. And last but not least with wordpress you can always contact a graphic designer if you have a bigger budget and start with OVH.com .

4. MAKE SURE IT STAND OUT

You need to find a name quite easy to pronounce in different languages. And easy to remember but that stands out and represents you as well.

5. SET  UP & COMMIT TO IT

Once you have been through the brainstorm and also chose your domain, you can now START your blog! Don’t forget to be consistent with your posts and commit to it, otherwise what is the whole point of setting up when you invest so much time, effort and energy into it! And not to forget you need to be passionate about it, your readers will feel it through your work.
